Floral scent compounds and emission patterns of three Styrax species

چکیده

Styrax is a gorgeous species combined with high medicinal and ornamental values, however, information about its floral scents limited. This study aimed to reveal the scent compounds dynamic changes in flowering process of japonicus, S. grandiflora calvescens. Static headspace solid-phase microextraction coupled gas chromatography-mass spectrometry was adopted present study. The results showed that 24, 22 volatile were at three stages, among which linalool, ocimene, ?-pinene germacrene D dominated different species. Terpenes main all species, whereas there considerable relative content ketones japonicus. Among major terpenes, ?-pinene, ocimene myrcene common volatiles these while ?-elemene allo-ocimene specific japonicus calvescens, respectively. highest terpenes occurred initial stage differences type principal contributed fragrance diversity A solid foundation for understanding complexity emission could be obtained from our findings, meanwhile, effective utilization abundant flowers should applied.
